Mission Call

Chayse's mission call arrived the last day of June, while he was in Oklahoma doing summer door-to-door sales. We were going to mail it to him to open, but he decided he couldn't wait any more after waiting five weeks for it to come! So on Sunday, July 1, his dad set up a WebEx so we could talk and see each other. His mom opened his call, took a picture of it and texted it to him and then he read it to us.

He was called to serve in the Washington Kennewick Mission, Spanish speaking.

We were grateful to family and friends that were able to join us totally last minute in person and via technology to support him! We appreciated their love, support and excitement for our family and for Chayse. Chayse's Grandpa Henke served a mission in the Northwestern States Mission (Oregon, Washington and Northern Idaho) around 1965-67. Even though it's not the same mission, it was a sweet little connection to him to be in the same area.
